Hamnafield Cardigan Knitting Pattern

Pattern Description

Seamless cardigan with Fair Isle yoke. Instructions are given for 10 sizes. Waist shaping is achieved through small sections of cabling which also gives textured areas. Buttonhole band has a scalloped edge. In the Fair Isle yoke only two colours are used in each round. Detailed instructions are given for all steps needed to knit this cardigan.

The cardigan was knitted in wool from Foula sheep, I knitted one of the sleeves when I took a trip to Foula on a beautiful summer day.

Materials Required

100% Foula Sheep Wool - DK weight. 

4.0mm, 4.5mm and 5.0mm knitting needles - circular 80cm long or double pointed needles, 30-35cm long
