2018 Cunningsburgh Show
Blanket knitted by Mavis Ross
At Cunningsburgh Show I spent most of my time in the knitting and handicraft section, looking and speaking to folk I'd not seen for a while. As always, I found it interesting to see how other folk had used the Colourbox colours, the patterns they had used and what had been knitted. Mavis Ross truly deserved the trophy for the Colourbox competition - her blanket is a beauty and I looked at it for a bit before I realised she had used the Colourbox colours. On display we could see only half of it - the full blanket is stunning. The hexagons were made from the centre out which is not easy to make beautiful as making all the increases puts a strain on neighbouring stitches.
For the other things, I'll let the photos do the talking.
